Montgomery County Economic Development (MCED) is the Local Economic Development Organization (LEDO) for Montgomery County and Crawfordsville. This year we are celebrating our tenth year serving the people and businesses of Montgomery County and Crawfordsville.

MCED was established to provide development support to current companies, attract new businesses, advance infrastructure improvements and workforce development initiatives. These are essential components to keep and attract employers. The MCED standing committees, Retention/Stabilization, Community Development and Workforce Development are working hard to accomplish these goals.

Over the last ten years MCED has helped many current and new companies with incentives, training and infrastructure improvements as they invested millions of dollars in our community.

MCED was also the catalyst organization in the creation of our own Ivy Tech Community College site, SkillsNet industry consortium, and HoosierEmployer.com where employees and employers find each other in our own internet career center.

Working with the state, we succeeded in attaining “Shovel Ready” designation for the Crawfordsville Commerce Park and are currently developing the same status for the Nucor Road Steel Campus and Industrial Corridor.

The original founders of Montgomery County Economic Development saw a need to establish an organization that would provide a comprehensive and consistent economic development entity with leadership provided by city and county elected officials, business professionals and other community leaders. We are optimistic about the future and dedicated to improving the quality of life for all residents of Montgomery County and Crawfordsville.

The current MCED Board of Directors would like to thank all those who have served over the last ten years and for the vision and leadership that made Montgomery County a business friendly community and a great place to live.
Whether you are expanding or locating a new business to our community, make your first contact MCED and experience our professional support services.
